Mother Teresa of Calcutta Posted by Hello

A very Saintly woman!

I've been blessed in my life to meet many wonderful people of all different ages and backgrounds. Some of them are just normal, everyday kind of people struggling as I am to reach our eternal goal. And a few have been "walking Saints". Mother Teresa of Calcutta is one of those people. We had the priviledge to meet and talk to her twice in Gallup. She started a soup kitchen here and a mission out on the reservation. We touched her old twisted hands and were blessed to hear her wonderful voice as she spoke with us and then kissed and blessed Miraculous Medals for each of us. We have pictures of us with her and we are still blessed to have her Order living and working in Gallup. One of her Sister's asked her why she was starting a mission in Gallup when the people looked well fed and not ill and she said, "Not everyone is poor in material things, many are poor in spirit." She was indeed a Saintly woman and not just in the hearts of Catholics, but many people of all faiths.
This picture of her was taken by a reporter in 1986 and he gave us copies of it so I thought I would share it with you.

Joke of the week!

A long, long, time ago, when I was 19 or 20, I went to a bar with an older friend. The guy at the door asked for my ID. I gave him my driver's license, which of course had my date of birth printed on it. He looked at it and said, "You have to be 21 to get in here." I replied, "That ID is a few years old." He looked at it again for a moment, then said, "Oh, OK" and let me in.

I did it...I think

Now we can play Chims game!
Round 2:
This person invented a new kind of cigarettes, likes BIG parties and thinks "Wow, maybe my luck is changing."
But it wasn't.
