I'm special...

and I have a new camera to prove it.  Thanks to great advice from a highly admired photographer I made the giant leap from a point and shoot camera to a DSLR.  It's a Canon EOS Rebel XSi.  In the 2 days I've had it I've learned a few things, mostly that I've been missing out on a lot and that this could become a very expensive hobby.

Aside from that, I have so much to learn.  I signed up for Lynda.com where at my own speed (slow) I can learn pretty much anything I want or need to know about cameras and computers.

As I play with my new toy, I'll be posting pictures occasionally so I can share with friends.
