The Movement is on...
This picture is about 15 years old. It is one of our many parties with friends and their children. It is such a blessing to have friends and many of our children are still good friends with each other. If you look closely you might see some faces you know.

Jamie, our Catholic school's new soccer coach from England arrived Sunday and will be staying with us until the end of October. Pat left Tuesday for Albuquerque and the beginning of another year of law school. Liz and I leave tomorrow (Thursday) for the long drive to Steubenville, Ohio and her freshman year of college. I'll be back Sept. 2nd. Kelly is a Jr. in high school, recovering very nicely from her ACL surgery. Leenie leaves on Saturday to fly back to Ohio to prepare for the fun Freshman orientation days before school starts for her and Liz on the 29th. Michael, the graduate, bless his heart, is home, working and very happy (he's also a great handyman around the house). The dog and cat are still disgusted that there are two little puppies around but I'm taking the hound dog pup, Bebe, back to Ohio for Leenie and there will just be Layla, Mike's pup left to bother the older pets.
Jay is just a money machine these days as everyone has needs for school or work. Clothes, school supplies, computers and accessories, house furnishings (and food) and travel expenses. So he stands in the door with his wallet open and hands it out. Our thoughts on the money issue have long been a problem. God blessed us with these wonderful kids and it's our duty to help them grow and get established. And there is an end in sight with both our young men either working or paying most of their way. Somedays though it seems like the need for "money" is constant and it does cause some frustration. But thank you God for children even with all their needs - physically, emotionally, spiritually and monetary.
I know that many of you reading this are also on the move. Back to school, marriages, babies and new jobs. I pray that God will richly bless you as you start or continue on your chosen path. Many of you have blessed me by taking me into your confidence and letting me spout off some of my "older woman" knowledge and I thank you for that.
So for now, I'll leave and get back to my chosen path, that of a wife and mother. Being a mother doesn't end even when your children are grown. I look to our Mother Mary for wisdom and strength as my children leave the nest, for surely she watched as her child, Jesus, left this world for all of us. God bless, Kitty
