In sorrow...

we pray for the soul of Pope John Paul II. He died peacefully at 9:37 pm (Rome) on April 2nd, 2005 in his apartment at the Vatican. He was surrounded in death not only by his close friends and peers but the faithful who had gathered in St. Peter's square. Many people around the world also watched and prayed as Archbishop Leonardo Sandri announced "Our beloved Holy Father John Paul has returned to the house of the Father."

"Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen"
